  • 1 block of firm tofu, cubed
  • 2 cups of mixed colorful bell peppers, julienned
  • 1 cup of broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Start by pressing the tofu to remove excess water, then cube it and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil to create the marinade. Add half of the marinade to the cubed tofu and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant.
  4. Add the marinated tofu to the pan, cooking until it’s golden and slightly crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed, then toss in the sliced carrots, bell peppers, and broccoli. Stir-fry until the vegetables are tender yet still vibrant.
  6. Return the tofu to the pan, pour in the remaining marinade, and give everything a good toss.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve the stir-fry over a bed of steamed rice, garnished with toasted sesame seeds and fresh cilantro leaves.
