Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Heat milk, water, and 3 tablespoons of butter until warm. Add this to the flour mixture along with the egg.
  3. Stir in the remaining flour to form a soft dough. Knead the dough on a floured surface until it’s smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover and let it rise for about an hour, or until it’s doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread 1/4 cup of melted butter over it. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll up the dough tightly and cut it into 12 equal pieces. Place them in a greased baking dish.
  7. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until they’re golden brown.
  9. While they’re baking, mix powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and enough milk to make a glaze.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls.
